I have been decorating cakes for almost 20 years; professionally for almost 8 years.  During this time, I have studied under many renowned cake artists such as Nicholas Lodge, Earlene Moore, Colette Peters, Roland and Marsha Winbeckler and more.  I am a member of the International Cake Exploration Society (ICES) as well as the Michigan chapter of ICES.  I further my cake education every year  with continuing education classes and I just have a great time creating sugar art!

On a personal note, my husband Jim and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary in Jamaica on May 28, 2009.  I am the proud mother of two sons and one daughter.  My oldest son, JD (July 1983) graduated from Macomb Community College with two associates degrees in automotive technology.

My daughter Marianne (February 1985) married a nice young man named Gary on June 16, 2006.  Marianne is in her third year of the Doctorate of Pharmacy program at Wayne State University this fall.  Gary is attending the University of Michigan Dearborn working on his bachelor’s in Engineering.

My youngest son, Dallas (July 1987) is in a band called Left Out.  He plays the guitar, bass and sings.  He is the father of my first grandchild, Landon.

I also have two cats - Maggie is 6 and Mikey is 7.  Joining this crowd are three darling Chihuahuas: Lucy is 12, Ricky is 7 and Desi is 4.  In my spare time I also foster chihuahuas until they can find forever homes.  Please remember to spay or neuter your pet.
